These photos were taken in Toronto, Canada at the 15th annual Aboriginal Festival in the Sky Dome on Nov. 28 & 29, 2008. This was a booth that was set up, showcasing Jehovah's Witnesses and the literature available in the different native languages. All the brothers and sisters who volunteered to work at the booth were Native American Indian and were thrilled with the response from the public!

This morning, while Mom went on her study & then errands, I was being suctioned. :-P Seriously, for 20-30 minutes at a time, with 5 minute breaks. I felt like a faucet endlessly running water, because nothing worthy of such lengthy suctioning was coming up.By the Mom returned (she was only gone 2 hours) I was very tired. So I went on the vent. Well, here we are -- Julie, me & Clover -- on the last day of the Convention. All in all, I am satisfied with how everything turned out. In case you're wondering, Fridays are pretty boring, which is why I don't write about them much.It's just Mom & me, not that I'm complaining. We give me a bath if we're up to it, do other personal care …… boring. Otherwise, I spend the day reading, writing (dictating to computer), listening to magazines & books on tape/cd, or playing some sort of solitaire…basically whatever I can do by myself.

This morning Clover told me she has to reduce her hours even more. She really needs to go out in service more as she's waaaaay behind in hours. Glad I'm not her.But now I have to find more workers! Sara can only come for a couple hours at a time; Toni is already doing all she can; Juli B. is a good worker, but can only come on weekday mornings. Am feeling v. frustrated.

Almost forgot…After Dave hooked us up to listen to the meeting, he asked us to call the Brinkman's. Nelson (their son-in-law) answered & said they couldn't listen because things were real serious. Today, I, Lilyán, went for 11 hours straight -- from 8:45 am to 7:45 pm -- without any extra oxygen! You do realize that means I was free from being tethered to my tank all day?! It was like I was almost normal again. (Yes, yes, I know, when was I ever remotely normal?) I haven't been without extra oxygen since March 14, 2006.Hooray for me!!

When Clover visited her aunt in Lake Havisu, Arizona, they went to this old timey town. Apparently, Clark Gable spent his honeymoon there. Anyway, the big attraction now are the daily visitors. Not the humans, no, not the tourists. The descendants of prospector/miner donkeys have essentially grown wild. Every day they come down from the mountains & stroll through town. Of course, it doesn't hurt

One of the daytime RTs, respiratory therapists, printed out one of his photos to put up in my cell. Darrel (yes, spelling is correct) is actually a temp, a traveling RT with vast & varied experience which included *gasp* working with quads. How refreshing.I found him to be a grandpa type; kind, full of quirky sayings & silly jokes, knowledgeable, talkative. He is also a conservative Baptist.

Okay, I've wanted to do a wolfy painting for Sam for a long time now. So I found this paint by number & tweaked it to look better than directed. My favorite part is (are?) the trees in front of the wolves -- they are so 3D.btw, it took me over a year to do it.
